Hip Hip Hurray & Happy Holidays too!

We are proud to announce that You'nique Images of Leesburg, Florida
has won the Downtown Leesburg Window Decorating Contest
for the second holiday in a row (Halloween/Fall, Christmas/Winter).

Soggy Dog Studios was invited once again by Terri of You'nique Images
to paint her Main Street store front windows.

Inspired by Dr. Suess, our tale went a little something like this....

"Twas a busy night before Christmas for Sally and Me
We lit a fire, wrapped presents and decorated the tree.
Thing 1 tied up Grinch with Christmas Light String.
Then we snacked on a ham and eggs colored green.
As we waited for Christmas to come with a treat.
We wished Happy Holidays to All on Main Street."

Here Terri accepts her FIRST PLACE AWARD

Congratulations!!!!  We are proud of our second win!!!

As always... thanks for taking time to see what we've been up to!!!

Ho Ho Ho...

Wow... The holidays sure have kept us busy!!!
No worries we have snapped a few pictures along the way for proof of why we haven't been in the studio!

Here Krista and her family share a warm... I mean chilly winter's night on the ice.
Didn't it snow that night?
Nothing better than an outdoor ice rink in Florida!!!!

It's soooo cold outside that brother and sister are forced to snuggle to keep warm!

When your down, just smile and get back up on your feet!

And here are my boys making cookies for Santa...

And we couldn't for get our doggies!!!

Ohhh... it seems Krista did sneak in the studio for a bit....
I just LOVE her hippo.... I am hoping she will do a whole series of these... soo keep watch!

We are excited to get back into the studio... we'll keep you updated on our new creations!

Thanks for taking the time to see what we've been up too!

Wow- What a week and a half!!!

Yes we can and we did!!

Whoever said you can't do a million things in a week in a half hasn't lived in the life of a mom! Granted we might have walked around with paint smudges all over our face, glue stuck in the hair, and looking like a Tom & Jerry cartoon with toothpicks holding our eyes open... but it's all worth it!

We have to say we are quite excited about all the upcoming events that we are preparing... we have felt like little elves working up in our little shop late at night.

Yikes... Christmas right around the corner we are going to put that thought on a little vacation for a minute because just the thought of that makes an elf want to put the paintbrush down and hide!

Let's roll back the clock a bit to October... Halloween or as some people wa
nt to refer to it now as Harvest Time or Fall Fun... it is what it is a time to dress up and "be creepy" as our kids say!

Windows were painted

Kim had her kids pose as scarecrows for hours... lol!

Obama... our service hours were already met by painting a 100 little hands!

We marched in hat parades

and showed our patriotism

and finally the being creepy part... what's creepier the two in the back or front!

Goals were made & blocked and cheers were heard

And oh... what a feeling it was when it was all over... we all settled down for a long winter's nap!

Now it's back to toiling up in our little studio to create lots of fun, gifty things to be placed in stocking hung with care! Ahh... what a nice thought... I think it goes more like this... deadlines to meet, work to create, and at the end of the day a comfy couch to sprawl upon with the fam and fur balls!!

And the winner is....

Congratulations to Terri Folker at You'nique Images for being the FIRST PLACE winner of the window decorating contest on Main Street in downtown Leesburg Florida. Modestly, we give ourselves at Soggy Dog Studios a little pat on the back too for the window painting.

For those of you that are regretting that "not so cool" tattoo that you got after one too many cocktails one Saturday Night.... Terri Folker is your gal! Specializing in permanent makeup, Terri also removes those pesky tattoos virtually pain free.

Give her a call at 352-636-2256!

And contact Soggy Dog Studios to charm those pesky undecorated windows for the holidays! :)

As always, thanks for taking the time to see what we've been up to!

Hurray!!! We are celebrating with confetti & fun!!!

After two long, but fun and exhausting weeks we have finally put our paintbrushes down for just a minute after completing our work for our first little "shop" which is tucked within Cottage Industry / Infusion Tea. What a great place to come shop for unique gifts, relax with a cup of tea and read a book or two. We are so excited and still have our sights on having our own funky shop one day!

We hung the nails, arranged and took down paintings over and over again and we felt good about all of it as we walked out and said goodbye to our work with fingers crossed for much success!

So if you ever find yourself in College Park stop in and check out our mini "Soggy Dog Studios Shop". Cottage Industry is located at 1600 Edgewater Drive,Orlando, Florida 32804.

We have created some great new gifty things. Our Fairy Doors can be placed in your house to help fairies who are running from Urban Sprawl (I will now give a quick definition of urban sprawl for my two close friends ya know who you are: Urban Sprawl is the spreading of a city and its suburbs over rural land at the fringe of an urban area... this means fairy homes are being destroyed... just another cause to get involved in! LOL!).

Also in the shop are Artmarks (bookmarks originally created from a painting we sliced and diced!) & little house magnets. These items will be in our Etsy store in the near future... keep a lookout for them.

Now we are on to our next project of creating some pieces for Modern Grace Boutique on Edgewater Dr. in College Park!

Yippee!!! We are so grateful and excited about what's happening...exhausted but excited!!! Thank you to our family for allowing us to stay up and play with paint until 4am!!! Thank you to our friends for dealing with feeling ignored!!!

We love you guys!!
